Jean-Francois
Abramatic

Dr.
Jean-François Abramatic is the Senior Vice President of Research
and Development at ILOG with responsibility for leading ILOG’s
research into the areas of advanced graphics, business rule and
optimization technologies. In his role as head of ILOG R&D,
Abramatic leads a team of engineers and software scientists spread
out between Paris, Sophia-Antipolis, the United States and Asia.
He has over 17 years of research and development experience in a
broad range of academic and industrial areas. Jean-François
is also chairman of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), a
position he has held since 1996. As W3C chairman, Abramatic is
responsible for spearheading the strategic direction of the
organization, which was created in October 1994 to lead the World
Wide Web to its full potential by developing common protocols that
promote its evolution and ensure its interoperability.
Prior
to his role as chairman of the W3C, Abramatic was associate
director of the
MIT Laboratory for Computer Science. He was also responsible for
establishing the European branch of W3C in partnership with MIT
LCS in 1995. Jean-François
received an engineering degree from Ecole des Mines, Nancy in 1971
and a Ph.D. from the University of Paris VI in 1980.

Kathy Ball-Toncic

in the investment management industry for over ten years, Ms.
Ball-Toncic brings an extensive background in sales, marketing and
customer focused implementations to her position at Financial
Fusion.
Her responsibilities include strategic marketing, partner
alliances and delivery and management of solutions specific to
capital markets and securities.
Prior to joining Financial Fusion, Inc., Kathy served as
Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Javelin Technologies, a
New York-based provider of FIX server technology where she helped
Javelin grow from a staff of eight to over forty in 1999,
significantly increased revenue and established the company as a
leading provider of financial server technology globally.
Before Joining Javelin Technologies, Kathy held the
position VP Sales and Marketing for the LongView Group, where she
was responsible for marketing LandMark, the firm’s trade order
management system. As National Director of Client Services at
Thomson Financial Services, she was responsible for the global
implementation and coordination of a suite of products from the
Trading Services Group handling all facets of the trading cycle.
Kathy's expertise includes the implementation of successful sales
and marketing initiatives as well as the definition of strategic
product direction.
Kathy will leverage her experience in customer focused,
straight through processing implementations to play a key role in
the future direction of GlobalFIX and the Financial Fusion Server.
Kathy holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado and a

a Vice President and Lead Analyst for Outsell, Incorporated, John
Blossom leads the development of services and analytical coverage

Blossom brings a broad and deep understanding of financial
information products and their underlying technologies to his
practice. Mr. Blossom’s range of experience covers both
high-level and globally oriented strategic marketing and product
planning, as well as extensive “hands-on”
design, development, product support and sales support for complex
financial information products. His direct experience in managing
every part of the information product lifecycle and his ability to
gather and communicate business requirements clearly and
effectively at all levels of management provides him with strong
assets for management consulting and advisory services. Mr.
Blossom’s career spans more than twenty years in advanced
information and media venues, largely at major
financially-oriented services companies, including Citicorp,
Quotron and nine years in marketing and product management for
Reuters Holdings PLC. His extensive global experience with the
marketing and management of real-time financial data feeds
established him as one of the thought leaders in this important
market segment, leading to strategic assignments with the
executive management team of Reuters America, Inc. Mr. Blossom was
also a key player in a number of ground-breaking Internet-oriented
initiatives at Reuters, including the introduction of content
management services and a global effort to integrate
Internet-based information suppliers into the mainstream Reuters
information services environment. Prior to Reuters, Mr. Blossom
served as Director of Market Research at Waters Information
Services, where he spearheaded the design, development and
marketing of The Waters Survey, the first publicly published
survey to collect highly detailed information on financial
information product usage from financially oriented institutions
in the United States. Based on in-depth interviews with over 900
institutions, and formed with input from senior executives from
major financial information services companies, the Waters Survey
uncovered major new trends in the financial information services
marketplace. The rise of Internet-based financial information
services was key among those findings, and the size of the
marketplace itself was proven to be more than twice previous
industry estimates. Before joining Outsell Mr. Blossom was founder
and President of Shore Communications Inc., a management
consulting firm specializing in strategic marketing consulting for
major and emerging media and information service companies. Shore’s
engagements included strategic marketing for several Internet
startup companies, as well as for major corporations that are
using the Internet to position themselves in new and existing
markets. Mr. Blossom holds a B.A. Degree in English from
Connecticut College, New London, Connecticut. He has engaged in
post-graduate studies in Management, Marketing, Accounting,
Business Analysis, Financial Markets, Structured Systems Analysis,
and Advanced Communications Networks.

Convener of the ISO 15022 XML Working Group also known as TC68/ SC
4/ WG 10. WG 10 contains participants from a number of industry
groups and hopes to evolve the ISO 15022 Standard to permit

guaranteeing interoperability across the industry and with other
industry sectors, particularly but not restricted to the financial

of Global Equities IT with shared responsibility for all Equities
related front-office activities around the globe. In June 2001, he

Johnson co-founded TransactTools in April 2000 and is responsible

Sam is an industry expert in electronic trading and speaks
frequently at industry tradeshows and conferences around the
world. Most recently, Sam
was Vice President, Electronic Trading at Goldman Sachs and worked
with brokers, institutions, exchanges, and vendors to increase the
efficiency of electronic securities trading for three years.
While at Goldman, Sam was heavily involved with Financial
Information eXchange (FIX) industry committees and initiatives,
serving as Director of FIX Protocol Limited
(FPL) as well as Co-Chair of the Global FIX Technical Committee.
Sam participated in the development of the FIX Protocol and worked
to develop FIXML. In this
capacity, he designed and managed www.fixprotocol.org. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Sam co-founded Moai Technologies, Inc.,
a San Francisco-based provider of strategic sourcing services and
enterprise software. Previously
Sam spent four years with BSG Consulting, advising a number of
Fortune 500 companies on business systems applications.

Communication and Design in 1996 with the solitary goal of
simplifying the process of electronic trading and making it easier
for more people to trade. In December 1997, the company became
Javelin Technologies, Inc., where George continues to build
Javelin into the company that democratizes electronic trading.
Prior to founding Javelin Technologies, George built trading
systems for Blackrock Financial Management and lead the
operational support of fund accounting and other processes. Before
Blackrock, George was a client manager and development leader at
Merrin Financial where he built the Intermarket Trading Network (ITN)
- the pioneering electronic equity order routing network which
directly linked buy-side institutional investors with their
brokers. Merrin Financial was sold to ADP in 1995 and then to
MacGregor Group, an order management system vendor, in 1999.
Before Merrin Financial, George developed market feed information
servers for Market Data Corporation, the leading source for U.S.
Treasury Bond prices. George has also built connectivity
solutions, protocol communications and integration solutions,
trade clearing, settlement, securities custody systems, and fault
tolerant PC-based electronic trading systems for several other
companies. George has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh
University and a MS in Mathematics from the Courant Institute at
New York University with specialization on financial engineering
and information theory. He still maintains the original Atari 800
with 64K of memory that first introduced him to computers. It’s

Since Random Walk’s founding in 1995, Jim has been
