Businesswire and Edgar Online Inc., two providers of financial information services, are co-sponsoring an investor relations symposium focusing on the Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL), an emerging global financial reporting platform for accessing and analyzing corporate information.

The conference, on March 20th, brings together a prestigious panel of experts who will distill in layman's terms the benefits of XBRL.

and the need for the investor relations industry to understand its implications for how they disseminate data to key audiences.

The panel includes:
